Balancing of Nadi is very important for performing any type Yogic activities. Blancing of nadis means a balance in your physical body. When there is no balance between nadis, the flow of energy will not be uniform. Balance of Nadi means the balance in ida and pingala. There are 72000 Nadis in our body. Nadis are the channels for the flow of vital energy.
Sushumna remains dormant in almost all the human beings. People live and die in Ida and Pingala only. Till the time your Ida and pingala is not balance your sushumna is not going to activate by Yog Sadhana.
Here Pranamaya ( one of the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yog) play important role in balancing Ida and Pingala. Anunov vilom Nadi shodhan, Chandra bhedi nadi shodhan and Surya bhedi nadi shodhan are utilised for balancing Ida and Pingala. Balanced Ida and Pingala will let the energy raise through Sushumna Nadi and that is the ultimate goal of all yoga.
